This Giclee Print, titled ‘Mylar 02’, along with ‘Mylar 01’ and ‘Mylar 03’, comprises portraits that together make up the three-part series. For me, this series captures the essence of wonder for the inner child. 

I’ve loved balloons since I can remember. Even into my early 30s, I use balloons at most events I host. I wanted to capture the joy that balloons can bring us in a way that was elevated and glamorous.

The silver mylar was very intentional. Not only because of my profound belief that we live life on the grayscale vs. in black and white, but also as a nod to Andy Warhol.

These Warholian children’s toys or props are a reminder for us to not only love our inner sweet baby but to find the joy we once had over simplicity.

The best part about the Mylar series is that these balloons will never deflate.
