This Giclee Print, titled ‘Bobby’, is a graphite drawing that captures the essence of the physique photographers of yesteryear.

The idea for this sketch has been building for a long time. When I was 17, I found a coffee table book that showcased the work of James Bidgood, but because I wasn’t 18, my mom had to buy it for me. This started a lifelong passion for collecting rare coffee table books. When I was 18 in college, I found a bookstore in Boston on Newbury Street that had a whole slew of queer artist’s coffee table books. The one I had to have, which took me weeks to save up for, was titled ‘Bob’s World’. It featured the photography work of Bob Mizer.

Since laying my eyes on this book, my curiosity around the esoteric artist flourished. In 2021, my work was featured in the 59th issue of the Bob Mizer Foundation’s Physique Pictorial. To this day, it’s one of the greatest honors of my life.
